John 14:27 says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Over the last couple of weeks, there has been a word that most all of us have heard and honestly, have been waiting for it to come. It is the “apex”; the time when the number of cases of the deadly virus reaches its worst point and then begins to decline. What has unfortunately started happening is that our worries, stress, anxiety, and many other items haven been rising along with the number of cases. Friends, in this time, we need to hold on to something firmer and more stable than a hope for a distant and unknown apex. We need to have the peace of Jesus. How about this week you do 1-2-3? First, only watch the news once a day. There is no need to watch any more than that amount. Secondly, make two contacts each day with someone you love. Either hug a family member in your home or call someone you love that you believe needs some love. And finally, three times a day, I want you to put your hand on your chest and say, “Be at peace”. This morning sometime, during the day, pause and before you go to bed tonight, put your hand on your chest and say out loud, “Be at peace”. We can have a peace that is out of this world. Be at peace my friends and stay close to Jesus. – Pastor Bryce
