Psalm 112
Are you a blessed person? In spite of the grief and trouble in our lives, could there be blessings we’ve been ignoring or downplaying? In the scriptures we learn spiritual truths that set us on a surprising new way of life and thinking. A surprising paradox: The blessed life comes not in getting, but in giving. Centering life on ourselves and on getting everything we want leaves us wanting more. The blessed life is not found in demanding our own way; but in giving God first place in our lives. The blessed life is not in getting more; but in realizing what we already have – God’s grace. The blessed life is not in squandering everything on ourselves; but in being a blessing to others in a spirit of generosity. Finding our blessing in God’s grace inspires a generous spirit within us.
