“School bells ringing, children singing back to (name school) again!” This was a song my parents sang to us at the start of every new school year. I still remember pulling the covers up over my head, trying to go back to sleep. I was nervous and wasn’t quite ready to take on a “new beginning”/school year.
The start of a school year for students is an exciting time to meet new friends and teachers. Others don’t really like school because it is work. They may have fears of fitting in and worries about making the grade and being successful.
Teachers prepare for the school year wondering, “Will I make a difference?”, “How can I best teach, motivate, challenge, and care for my students?”
Parents want their children to be successful, but mostly they want them to be loved and cared for.
Newness can bring uncertainties; leading to stress, anxiety, and worry. We can find calmness in the Lord when we call upon Him. “Cast all your anxiety on him for he cares for you.”(1 Peter 5:7) No matter where your start for today, is you can rest knowing you are safe in His arms. Now go take on the day! God loves ya! 🙂 -Melissa Lundy
