“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5 NLT) Does this mean we cannot accomplish anything? No, of course not, but everything we do should bring glory to God. Many times we think we are two separate beings, one that does our worldly things and one that goes to church. However, that is far from the truth. We are supposed to do everything for the glory of God, He purchased us on the cross and that mean mind body and soul. We are one spiritual being that should always have our sights on Jesus; everything we do should point people to the cross. Let us produce fruit that has eternal consequences not just worldly awards.
