Psalms 42
When you say, “I am thirsty” are you really? Can you ever remember when you were ‘dying of thirst’?  When your mouth was so dry that you could spit dust balls? So parched that you could drink out of a mud puddle – well maybe not that bad, but you get the point. It was a desire so intense that getting that drink was the only thing you were focused on. “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.” (Vs. 1-2). That is the kind of passion and intensity that we should have towards learning God’s word. A thirst so intense that we don’t put off reading the bible, getting up a little earlier to spend time with God, finding time to join a small group or of course, going to church. We are told in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to “pray continually”. That means to be in constant contact with God, to thirst for Him, to seek Him, and to desire Him always. Let us become that thirsty and drink in the living water of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God loves Ya;)
