Luke 16:13-15
Scripture is very clear that money is a threat to our relationship with God and others. Money is a power, like a god. It tells us where we can live. It tells us what we are “worth”. It tries to define us and tell us who we are. We have to decide that we aren’t going to let money control us anymore. We have to really wrestle with the role of money in our lives. How God wants me to use my money isn’t how God wants you to use your money. How God called you to use your money 5 years ago is probably not how God is calling you to use it today. We will always be tempted to use money for what we want rather than for what God wants. So we have to take some concrete steps to keep control of our money and not allowing it to control us. We have to give freely, manage wisely and say “thank you”. In your prayers, say thank you for the blessings you have. We have to be content with what we have; Matthew 25:21 says, “You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.” Money isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. God Loves Ya 😉
