Romans 8:1-17 NLT

Persecuted because of the name of Christ? Of course! And if not, you will be in one form or another sooner or later. If you are a follower of Christ, we are told we have to share in His sufferings and that persecution is going to happen. It can be found in many ways and in different shapes and forms. In today’s scripture we are told, “And since we are His children, we are His heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share His glory, we must also share His suffering.” (Romans 8:17 NLT) This doesn’t mean we will be hung on a cross, flogged or shot for our belief, as so many of our brothers and sisters have. But other forms of persecution such as, being made fun of, called names, shunned by family and friends, etc. will occur if they haven’t yet. Take pride in your persecution church, for to be an heir of God’s glory totally outweighs any kind of trial we have to suffer in this fallen world. Be not afraid, “That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:10) God Loves Ya 😉
