2 Corinthians 12:9-10
There is a favorite group of mine called The Rhett Walker Band and one of their songs “Brother” has a chorus line that says, “Beggars and thieves in search of the very same grace”. This verse got me thinking, “How many times do we beg God to help us to take away a pain, burden or to simply give us a blessing? How many times do we steal time way from God and His word just because we are too busy or just plain lazy?” However, “But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.” (Ephesians 4:7) That grace is always there whether we beg, plead, steal or think – we just don’t have time. All you have to do is speak the name of Jesus and His grace will surely abound over you. It is a gift!! Not a reward or answer to a prayer. Thank you Jesus! – Bob Bergman
