Both Ways

Romans 12:2 NLT
There is one thing that is prominent throughout the Bible and that is you can’t have your cake and eat it too. Jesus tells us you can’t love money and God. Paul tell us; “you can’t have it both ways, banqueting with the Master one day and slumming with demons the next.” (1 Corinthians 10:21) There is one thing for certain you cannot carry your cross and follow Jesus while holding on to your baggage. We give our lives to Christ on a Sunday, then the rest of the week we live with the devil. Not that it is entirely our faults. We are bombarded by the world all week long with negative and bad things and eventually it wears us down. The mind is the devils playground and he will get you thinking all about your past mistakes and the bad things you have done and the next thing you know, you are back at that same old cycle of sin.  Paul tells us constantly to put our minds on God; to guard our minds and be aware of the devil because he prowls like a lion. When all this is happening, there is no time to be wishy washy about your faith in Christ. Either we follow Christ all the time or not. He doesn’t want lukewarm Christians. He wants all in followers. The bottom line is we can’t have it both ways! We can’t be reborn to God if we refuse to die to our old selves. We can’t carry Christ’s cross if we’re still hanging onto our old baggage. God Loves Ya 😉
