Romans 1:18-32
I saw a quote recently from an unknown author that says, “Negative people need drama like they need oxygen. Stay positive, it will take their breath away.” There is a lot of truth in this. Negative people do thrive on drama or more negative information and gossip. There are many physiological theories of the why’s that we don’t have time to go into, but we will refer to the Bible and what it tells us about the subject. (Romans 1:29b-32) In the book of Romans, Paul reveals the sinful nature and lawlessness of mankind, stating how God poured out His wrath on those who rejected His laws. Because they had turned away from God’s instruction and guidance, He gave them over to their sinful natures. The list of sins includes gossipers and slanderers.  (1 Timothy 5:12-13). Paul states that widows get into the habit of going from home to home, looking for something to occupy their idleness. Idle hands are the devil’s workshop, and God cautions against allowing idleness to enter our lives. “A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid a man [or woman] who talks too much” (Proverbs 20:19). Both sexes are guilty of being negative or gossipers. Break the cycle; think positive and don’t let the devil win for he is the only one that does win when are negative. Stay positive my friends. God Loves Ya;)
