I recently read an article called “9 Sins the Church is Okay With” by Frank Powell. One of the sins he mentions is that of comfort. Many Christians today try living within a ‘bubble’ of comfort and attempt to shut out the secular world. This is not to say that we should become more like the world, but that we should step out and influence the world by sharing the love of God with others. We need to start talking to the lost and not just talking about the lost. Powell states, “When the church becomes comfortable, Christianity starts to die.” Jesus was viewed as a rebel by the Pharisees because He often challenged their way of thinking or their comfort zone. Let us step out of our own comfort zone, our ‘bubble’, and become more like the hands and feet of Christ. God Loves Ya.
