Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (NLT)
This past weekend I had my mom out for our annual fall colors sightseeing tour. We drove many miles and saw some very pretty leaves and scenery. We got talking about the different seasons and how blessed we are to have the four seasons. She said, “Yes we are blessed because with every season, there is beauty.” I thought about what she said and agreed. In life, just like in nature, we go through different seasons. Sometimes the seasons may last longer than we like, but sooner or later there is a brand new spring with new beginnings and renewal. God allows us to go through these seasons not to destroy us, discourage or knock us down, but to teach us lessons, to teach us how to persevere, to help us get stronger and to stand taller than ever before as we come to rely more on Him and less on ourselves. Seasons make us grow in our relationship with Jesus. With that said, embrace every season; be joyful when they come, because in the end, God has something beautiful waiting for us.
