“I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry…he set my feet on a rock…he put a new song in my mouth.” (Psalm 40) The question we have all wondered at least once is, “How am I ever going to get out of this dry season in my life?” David reminds us that we are going to be rescued by our Heavenly Father. Friends, let me simply encourage you this morning. God knows, God cares and God is going to take care of you. God sees you. God wants to hear your story. God wants to provide rest and nourishment for your dry soul. God has more for you when you are ready to receive it. God indeed has something He wants to say to you today. If you have wandered away from your mission or assignment, God desperately wants to lead you back. Far too often, when we are not where we believe God would want us to be or are doing what we know God would not want us to be doing, we believe that God is out to get us and punish us for our disobedience. Be encouraged today. Your Heavenly Father is not out to get you; He is out to get you back. It may require rescue or even discipline, but the entire process and journey is all centered around you being back in fellowship with the Father and back fulfilling the mission and assignment He has specifically designed for you. Walk today in the promise of Isaiah 26:3, “God will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in Him.” Stay close to Jesus. – Pastor Bryce
