Phillipians 4:10-20
Over the Christmas holiday while our family was gathered around for dinner, we were talking about how many kids continue looking for gifts under the Christmas tree even after all the gifts appear to have been opened. Kids want to make that last look to make sure that they didn’t miss any gifts from Santa. We can equate this to how many of us continue looking for something more in our lives when we have already been blessed with so much. Instead of looking for more (looking to buy the newest or biggest version of something we may already have), let us be thankful for the gifts that have already been given to us: a roof over our heads, clothes on our backs, food in our bellies, etc. When we are content with what we have, we can be more focused on our relationship with God and on what he wants us to do for His glory. God is good 😉 – Ashley
