James 1:17, Psalm 107
On Thanksgiving, we give thanks for all the blessings God gives us each and every day. Some blessings we easily notice and appreciate, while other blessings go unnoticed and we take them for granted. At first glance, we may notice the blessings of family, friends, food, and shelter.  But what about the other gifts God blesses us with?  The gift of our senses; eyes to see, a nose to smell, ears to hear, and a mouth to taste?  Do we remember to thank God for our talents, His wisdom, His provision and answering our prayers?  Do we thank God for forgiving our sins, His amazing grace, His love and life everlasting? Do you feel His peace and stillness in the midst of chaos? Praise God and thank Him. “Every good and perfect gift is from above” (James 1:17).
As you gather with family and friends on Thanksgiving, give thanks for all His blessings. The ones noticed at first glance and the blessings we sometimes take for granted.  Our feelings of joy, sorrow, and hardship come and go, but God’s love is constant.  His love never fails and He never gives up on us.  “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.” (Psalm 107)  No matter your circumstances – count your blessings, count on God and give thanks. God loves ya! 😉 – Missy & Elizabeth Lundy
