Last week, Pastor Bryce said something in his sermon that I cannot get out of my head, “Darkness cannot extinguish light!” Through this virus, Satan thinks he has won, shutting down the church all across the world. What he does not realize is that he has only shut down buildings, covered them with a black piece of paper like the black screen of the Lite Brite. But wait! The Light is oozing out the edges. The Church is energized, escaping the boundaries of the walls, “pressed down but not destroyed”. More people are being reached through social media than ever before, salvations are being tallied amid the fears, children are being fed, supplies are delivered, people are driving to outdoor services to hear the Word, hundreds of people are surrounding hospitals to worship and pray for healthcare workers, millions are praying… period. Musicians are singing God’s praises on Facebook, neighbor is encouraging neighbor, and a Christian based mobile hospital is planted right in Central Park, the heart of New York City! Christians are poking holes in the darkness! The Light of the world and His followers are shining through; they cannot be stopped. Jesus says, “I am the Light of the world, he who follows me will NOT WALK IN DARKNESS, but will have the Light of life.” John 8:12- Judy Ennis
