Romans 6:22-23

Why is Good Friday “good”? As terrible as that day was, it had to happen for us to receive the joy and happiness of Easter. The wrath of God against all SIN had to be poured out on Jesus, the perfect sacrificial substitute, a scapegoat per se in order for forgiveness and SALVATION to be poured out for us. Without that awful day of suffering, sorrow, and shed blood at the cross that Jesus endured on that Friday, we would not be saved and would have to pay the price for our sins personally. There is a term used in sports; “taking one for the team;” Jesus took the ultimate one for us so we can have freedom from sin. Without that day that seemed to be the greatest triumph of evil, it was actually the deathblow in God’s gloriously, great plan to redeem the world from bondage of sin. God won, we won, Satan, you are out of here! God’s only son saved us and for that reason today is a good day. Have a great Easter, God Loves Ya 😉
