While waiting in a store parking lot with my three children and nieces, I overheard a woman a few parking spaces away on her phone saying her car wouldn’t start and she needed help. I thought to myself, who would help her? Resoundingly, I heard God answer me with the words from Matthew West’s song “Do Something”. He said,” I created you. If not us, then who? If not me and you—-right now, its’ time for us to do something.” It was as if the Holy Spirit moved me out of my car and into action without looking back. I didn’t even know if I had jumper cables before I moved and I was definitely out of my comfort zone. After all, it’s not every day I look under the hood of my car, but I felt compelled to respond. “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10). You never know when you will encounter a mission moment to do God’s work. As you enter your personal mission fields daily, be alert with listening ears, an open mind and hands to help.  After all, “we’re never gonna change the world by standing still, it’s time for us to Do Something.” (M.West) – Melissa Lundy
