Esther 7:1-10

Have you ever heard of the show “What Would You Do?” with host John Quiñones? He observes and comments on how ordinary people behave when they are confronted with dilemmas that require them either to take action or to walk by and mind their own business. Have you ever felt God nudging you to speak up about a situation? There have been times when I have had to stand up for someone or stand up for my own faith when criticized by others. In some of these situations, I have risked friendships and relationships with family members. But like our scripture today, we must be willing to do what is good – even if it means losing friends, being misunderstood, or being ridiculed. Queen Esther risked her very life for doing what was right and saving the lives of the Jews. Our sacrifices may be on a smaller scale, but still may seem difficult all the same; “never tire of doing what is good” (2 Thessalonians 3:13).  God Is Good-  Ashley
