Deuteronomy 4:9; Judges 2:10-11
In the book of Judges, the Israelite’s forget about the things that the Lord has done for their people. They ultimately turn from the Lord to worship other things. In some ways, we can be like the Israelite’s. When we don’t read God’s word, pray, or worship, we may “forget” all the blessings that God has given us or forget the ultimate sacrifice that he made for us. If it goes on long enough, some of us may eventually turn towards other “idols” such as alcohol, drugs, lust, etc. when we would normally have turned to God. It is important to take the time to remember all the works that God has done and to pass this on to our family. We can also be a witness to those that don’t yet know Christ as their personal savior. God is good 😉
