Proverbs 17:22

“You cannot have a positive life and a negative mind.” –Joyce Meyer. Before I came to Christ, I was an extreme pessimist and always focused on the negative things going on in my life. Now when I look back, I realize that the root of that pessimism was my selfishness and my negative thinking. It was always about me and how this person made me feel, how unfair my situation with my family was, and on and on. I had the “woe is me” mentality. After I accepted Christ in my life, it took some time but I began turning my thinking around and choosing not to focus on the negative. Once I made that first step, I became a more optimistic and joyful person overall. Instead of focusing on me, I began focusing on God. Making the choice to have a positive mind was easier because I had the hope and reassurance that no matter what life threw at me, God would always be by my side. Let the hope and faith you have in Him help foster your positive thinking. God is good 😉
