Have you ever met one of those people that are filled with the holy spirit but deep in the back of your mind you’re thinking, “what are they smoking or drinking?” This verse came to me earlier in the week and has me thinking very hard about what some people call “bible thumping”. “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14) In Acts 2:14,15, the apostles weren’t drunk or high but were filled with the holy spirit. Are we missing out? Are we the odd people missing the boat on that narrow road? I can’t answer this but think about it. Jesus said “For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21). So, friends the kingdom of God is within us when we accept Christ and His lordship. The road is narrow, and it is tough for sure. Let’s not be so critical of a person that is filled with the holy spirit but maybe try to imitate their passion for God. Maybe others will think we are “drunk” someday. God Loves Ya;)
