Hebrews 11:1 explains, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Friends, although this verse is extremely familiar to many, the subject of faith is often overcomplicated and confusing. We often hear, “Have more faith”, “Stay in faith”, “Keep the faith”. What is faith and why is it so difficult to understand and just as difficult to apply in our lives? In a simple sentence, faith is acting as if God is telling the truth. God is who He says He is and will do what He says He will do. When we believe God can be trusted and we act (not feel, think, or talk) like He can be trusted, this is when we are living by faith. Many of us have heard that the faith of a mustard seed can move a mountain. This explains that faith is certainly not about “how much you have”. What is actually most important in relation to faith is the concentration or substance of your faith. Having faith in faith will be a miserable and ineffective journey. Having faith in God, His character and His word will lead you toward effective service in your journey with Jesus and building the Kingdom of God. Walk by faith and Stay Close to Jesus. – Pastor Bryce
