As we read in Hebrews 5:11-12, they warn against becoming dull in the word and the truths of Christ. I know I myself have seasons where I feel I can “skip” a Sunday church service and will be fine, but by midweek I am a mess and need to be revived and renewed in the word of God. Dullness can be a trickling effect; it spreads like wildfire. First, you may be ok with skipping a Sunday. Then, before you know it, you are not going at all; you are not praying, reading the word, rejoicing or worshipping. It won’t be long until you have drifted away from God. You will feel it. Your life will be in turmoil; nothing will be going right and you will be asking yourself,” Why am I feeling this way?” Being a Christian is not an easy life. God never promised our paths would be clear and flawless. We must always stay in His word; keep the fires burning by being eager to learn more and keeping our relationship with Jesus alive and well. In Jesus, we are alive and we can conquer anything through Him with His grace and forgiveness. So, get up and get going; keep that fireball raging for Christ! Have a blessed day! 🙂
