John 4:34-36

As a church, we may look at people and say, “I think they would be good at doing this or that”. Then we turn our focus on persuading that person to do what we think they would be good at, only to find out that they are not a good fit. In the world, we do the same thing; we look at unbelievers that we don’t think would want to go to church or a small group so we never bother asking or inviting them. We don’t have access to others deep feelings, desires or needs. The saying goes, “you never know until you try” and that goes for inviting others to come to church or asking them if they know Christ. Christ tells us in John 4:35, “I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.” We never know if they are being nudged by the Holy Spirit to take a step in faith. We have to look at others the way they truly are – “children of God”. As brothers and sisters of these people, we have the command to invite them into relationship with their loving father; you were invited at one time, so go out and start harvesting for the kingdom of God.  God Loves Ya;)
