Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
A few years back when my marriage was just at the beginning stages of crumbling apart, I would ask my “then” husband if we were going to be ok. He would always respond: “Yes, we will be fine”. At the time, those words were so comforting to me; they made me secure that he wanted us to be ok as much as I did. As time went on, we were obviously not ok and we eventually went our separate ways. When I look back on that journey, how naive was I to think he could make it all ok? Only God can make things right. Only God knows what is good for us, and believe me, it’s not always what we think. My journey was not an easy one but my life is so much better now. My life is nothing like I envisioned it all those years ago but I am happy and have the Lord in my heart. I have a peace that I never experienced before. If you are going through a season that you just don’t understand, trust in our God to get you through; he has much better plans for your life than you could ever imagine.
