While finishing up some last minute shopping at our local mall, I was standing in line with a young mom with 3 little kids. The oldest looked about 6 yrs.old and the youngest around 2 yrs .old. Of course, standing in that long check out line they were getting pretty antsy. I overheard the mom saying, “You need to behave, Santa is watching.” I never saw 3 kids straighten up so fast in thinking that Santa was watching and he would not be happy. My thoughts at that moment; wouldn’t the world we live in be so different if we all straightened up at the reminder that “God is watching” and “would not be happy with our behavior?” Wouldn’t it be awesome if all of us were just as excited for “Jesus’s coming” as our little ones are excited for “Santa coming!” What a beautiful world it would be if we all kept God in our hearts and minds all year round and were reminded: “He knows when we are sleeping, He knows when we’re awake, He knows if we’ve been bad or good so we better be good for goodness sake”!!
