Philippians 4
For Paul, joy is a defining attribute of the church. Does “joy” characterize the church today? If you knocked on the door of one of your non-Christian neighbors and asked them how they would describe Christians, would they say that Christians are people marked by a deep, consistent sense of joy? Would people say that you are a person of joy? Do we have a joy like Paul, joy that transcends the most difficult circumstances? Can we say “I have learned the secret of being content in any and every circumstance” (Phil 4:12)? If we could say that was true about us, even some of the time, can you imagine what kind of witness that would be of the power of Christ to those who know us? God Loves Ya 😉
