“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”(Psalms 34:18) David who penned this psalm knew a thing or two about hardships and trials. Throughout his time, David does not just curl up and cry because of the situation in which he finds himself. He instead seeks to protect and look out for his fellow Israelites; even while being pursued into the mountains by Saul (1 Sam. 21-27). David does not allow Saul to dictate his life, but he seeks to do that which is right and acceptable in the eyes of God. From being on the run for his life, having a man killed because he wanted to hide his affair and losing a son; David went through a lot. We all have seasons of pain, suffering and having our spirits crushed; but David said it best: The Lord is close to you and He will pull you through no matter what your situation is. So keep your chin up and stay close to the Lord. God Loves Ya 😉
Keep your Chin Up
