Matthew 7:7

“A prison cell, in which one waits, hopes – and is completely dependent on the fact that the door of freedom has to be opened from the outside, is not a bad picture of Advent” ― Dietrich Bonhoeffer, God Is in the Manger: Reflections on Advent and Christmas. This Quote is not just food for thought about this Advent season but also for those that don’t know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are told in today’s scripture that all we have to do is “knock and the door will be opened to you.” Notice we aren’t the ones opening the door- Christ is. Those that don’t know Christ are prisoners of this world and the fallen nature of man. Show them this holiday season how simple it is to be freed from the life of sin and sure death. Show them hope and eternal life with that one knock on the door. So knock, knock! Christ won’t say “who is there”, Christ will say “it is about time come on in I have been waiting for you”. Merry Christmas God Loves Ya 😉
