“Let your light Shine”  by Cassie Harrison

Recently I was reading Jesus’ Great Commission in Matthew 28:16-20, “God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.” I’ve skimmed over that passage many times, but that morning, I was struck with the message that we all have unique experiences of Christ, and we all have different life stories.  These are like puzzle pieces to God’s great story of redemption and hope, and without all the pieces of the puzzle, it just looks like a jumbled mess.  God can use each and every one of our stories to further His Kingdom. As Jesus said it in Matthew 5:14-16, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Let your light shine!  You never know who’s going to see it and praise God because of you. 🙂
