1 Corinthians 13:4-7- Isaiah 53:1-12
Little sacrifices go a long way
Can you really, truly love without sacrifice? I am not talking about loving a car, a house, or any other material things (which should be “like” not “love”, but that’s for another day). I am writing about loving people. If we love without some sort of sacrifice, is it really love at all? Jesus taught us that we should love one another by caring, serving, and protecting; but the greatest thing you could do for a friend is giving your own life (John 15:13). I would call that a great sacrifice. However, we must also sacrifice small things to show love. IE.; Not watching what we want on TV, not putting in extra hours at work and miss the kids ball game, taking extra time to spend with loved ones, or just picking up the phone and calling someone that you haven’t talked to in a long time. Love isn’t always easy and you have to make sacrifices sometimes, but nothing is compared to what God Sacrificed for us on the Cross — His one and only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. A little sacrifice goes along way. God loves Ya;)
