John 10:10 (NIV)
Jesus said, “I have come that they may have LIFE, and that they may have it more ABUNDANTLY”. (John 10:10) This life we are given is both very PRECIOUS and FRAGILE. It has its bumps and bruises, to be sure, and sometimes even its tragedies. But every day that we have to get up and get dressed (or not) and go into life is a gift and a blessing from God. It is a travesty to assume that we will have tomorrow to do all the things that we were too busy or too distracted to get to today. We need to double-check our true priorities every day, every minute, and choose wisely. So tell someone you love them, snuggle with your children, hug a hurting friend, smile at a stranger, give of yourself where there is nothing to be gained in return, forgive an old hurt, share joy, let go of any chains that have kept you bound – and do it today. Someone you will meet today needs Jesus’ love, shared through flesh and bones, shared through you. They, or you, might not have tomorrow. Life is a wild, wonderful, amazing gift, not to be wasted, not to be squandered. So love deeply and passionately, my friends. Live abundantly, with joy, because that is your gift from Jesus. – Lorrie Dean Netzley
