Luke 8:4-8 (NIV)
For many of us, “more than enough” seems more like a dream than a reality. We live in the world of minimum payments, mortgages, student loans, etc…not overflow, abundance and bounty. Can we be happy with God’s current level of provision for our life? Over the course of our lives, provision will probably go up and go down. But can we be content in the downs as well as the ups? Paul wrote to the Philippians, “I have learned to be content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want” (Phil 4:11-12). God provides for us in the time or season we are in, but as Bill Hybels has observed, often “Debt comes from wanting more than God’s provision for your life and arranging other ways to get it.” We just have to keep the trust and know that God knows what He is doing and that we will be fine. God Loves Ya 😉
