John 14:1-28
I woke up the other morning and realized that we had no electric in the house. I knew it was a day I had to get on my computer and write devotions. Right away, panic and worry set in; how am I going to do what I have to get done? I can’t get behind. I’m feeling the Holy Spirit talking to me and wanting me to write things down. What am I going to do?? Well if I was thinking simply and would not have panicked, I could have just got paper, pen and my bible and I would have been fine. But that wasn’t the first thing that crossed my mind. How many times do we perceive the worst in a situation before we take our time and think about the other possibilities? Jesus told his disciples that He was going away to a place where they couldn’t go right away, but that He would come back for them. Instead of taking time to think about what Jesus said and listening, they panicked and got upset. God has a plan for us and when obstacles get in the way, it doesn’t mean it won’t work out. Someone once told me that obstacles are in our way to see if what we want is worth fighting for. Let us perceive, think and act – don’t panic. God loves Ya;)
