Psalm 116: 12-13
If we would just take a moment and sit in silence and ponder what the Lord has done for us, we would be amazed! Not with just the big things, but with the small things as well. Most of us have a give back or payback mentality, where if someone gives you something, you have to do something in return for them. This may seem as a good and honorable thing, but can we truly pay back God for all He has done for us? While we don’t actually pay God back, we do respond with all that we are and all that we have. We don’t simply soak it all in and bask in his presence. We pay Him back with praise, thanksgiving and being His hands and feet on the earth. David reminds us in Ps. 116:13, “What can I offer the Lord for all he has done for me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and praise the Lord’s name for saving me”. God has work for us as well as sacrifices that we are called to make as we join with God in His work of redeeming the world. Let us humble ourselves with thankful hearts; for our Lord is a good and great God that unconditionally loves us. God loves Ya;)
