Matthew 4:1-11
Satan uses wrestling to tempt us. His goal is to destroy Jesus’ character. God uses wrestling to test us and His goal is to strengthen our character. We have to ask ourselves a few questions; Is Jesus a king concerned only with meeting physical needs? Is Jesus a king who will use spectacular powers for his own benefit? The Devil cites Scripture but Jesus obeys Scripture. Jesus doesn’t use God for his own ends. Is Jesus a king who will take a shortcut? No, he is not and neither should we. Jesus is great because he faithfully and consistently surrendered his will to the will of God. Shall we not do the same? God loves ya 😉
