Eph. 6:10, 13, 2 Tim. 4:18
I live in a heavily, deer populated area and the other morning, as usual, I was driving cautiously on my way to work when I realized I stopped being cautious and was driving without really paying attention. Low and behold, a deer pops out of the woods and I had to slam on the brakes. I missed her but it got me thinking of the saying “you’re not out of the woods yet” meaning “ things are slightly better but not yet well or back to normal”. How many times do we treat life carefree like everything is normal and we forget what is said in 1 Peter 5:8, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour”.  I have been guilty of this but working on the fact and truth; when things are going well, I pray less, but when things go wrong, I’m on my knees. God doesn’t want us just to have a relationship with Him when things are going wrong, but always. There is evil in the world and will be until the glorious coming of our Lord. When that day comes, we will be “out of the woods”. God Loves Ya;)
