John 14:27
Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a theologian, martyr, spiritual writer and pastor, once said, “The essence of optimism is that it takes no account of the present, but it is a source of inspiration, of vitality and hope where others have resigned; it enables a man to hold his head high, to claim the future for himself and not to abandon it to his enemy.” There are many times in our lives when it is hard to be optimistic; especially when everything seems to be falling down around us. But we can be assured if we have this certain hope in a God-man, Jesus Christ, which hung on a cross for us. He has already won the battle and things will get better. “But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.” (1 John 4:4) God Loves Ya 😉
