Romans 15: 17-20
My grandmother always had a strong personality and would intensely discuss her views on religion and politics. When growing up, I remember at family gatherings my mom, aunts and uncles would always say, “No one bring up politics or religion”. We are often told that in social circles, these are the two main topics that you do not discuss. How do you react to this?? Do you share what Christ has done in your life with others? Or do you often think back to what you were taught growing up, that politics and religion are not things to be discussed with those around you? Many of us feel comfortable talking about our religious views on Sunday mornings at church, while having coffee with a Christian friend, or during our bible studies; however, in Romans 15:20, Paul points out “I aspired to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already named”. We are called to share what Christ has done in our lives and not just within the four walls of the church. Go and proclaim the name of Jesus Christ and what he has done for you! God loves ya 😉
