Later, when Jesus was alone with the twelve disciples and with the others who were gathered around, they asked him what the parables meant. He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secret of the Kingdom of God. But I use parables for everything I say to outsiders, so that the Scriptures might be fulfilled: ‘When they see what I do, they will learn nothing. When they hear what I say, they will not understand. Otherwise, they will turn to me and be forgiven.’” (Mark 4:10-12) We must understand from today’s scripture the twelve had special privilege, they had the scoop, they were the insiders to the Living God. They were being taught from God Almighty Himself, all the others not so much. They just saw the result of Jesus. For them to understand what He was teaching, they had to first get rid of all their past junk and become open to the truth and we all know how hard that is. The last sentence says it plain; “Otherwise, they will turn to me and be forgiven.” It was a personal choice of the individual. We can either except the truth or not. Turn to God or not. Let us except the truth and get rid of our past junk so we can move forward with Christ and learn from Him. God Loves Ya;)
