With all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and shoppers hitting every store grabbing all the good deals and giveaways, is the real Christmas spirit alive and well? Have we lost the perspective of what Christmas is all about? It’s so easy to get caught up in the “Hallmark” mindset of what we want our holidays to be or look like with searching for the perfect gift, the perfect tree, the perfect meal, and making sure the house and kids are perfect before the guests arrive! It can drive you completely crazy! We know the real Christmas story of the night Jesus was born, in that damp manger with straw bedding and not much else for true comfort, so how dare we turn such an amazing and wonderful event of the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ, King of all Kings, into such a spectacle.
