Matt 6:25-27 (NIV)

During my research for this week’s theme on fear, I came across this quote that I wanted to share with you from Donald Miller. “The most often repeated commandment in the Bible is ‘Do not fear.’ It’s in there over two hundred times. That means a couple of things, if you think about it. It means we are going to be afraid, and it means we shouldn’t let fear boss us around.” Jesus taught about having no fear and to not be anxious. In fact, there are about 365 mentions of this given by Jesus alone; this gives us at least one verse for every day of the year. We might think that Jesus is only trying to help us alleviate our anxieties but He is actually commanding us not to worry because it shows a lack of trust or faith in God. So, simply, we are not to fear; God is in control. God Loves Ya 😉
