2 Peter 1:1-2, 1 Corinthians 13:12
According to freedictionary.com, revelation means, “Something revealed, especially a dramatic disclosure of something not previously known or realized.” Everything God wants us to know is already there; we just have to come to realize it. Did you ever see “National Treasure” starring Nicolas Cage? The main character and his friends search for hidden treasure. They follow clues that seem to lead them on to a next clue and a next clue and it seems they will never find the treasure; but of course they finally do. That reminds me of God’s revelations to us. All the clues that the characters found were left there from someone to be found. There weren’t any new clues. God’s revelations are already there for us; they are not clues but truths to absorb and to apply in our lives. The more we study His word and worship and praise Him, the more revelations come to our awareness. God has amazing things for us to know and realize; we just have to continue building our relationship with Him and be in communion with Him. After all, God loves Ya;)
