Genesis 37:1-17 (NLT)
Last night on “The Voice”, Dolly Parton sang her song “Coat of Many Colors”. After performing the song, she made a comment about how one can be poor in the worldly sense, but that feeling poor is a choice and that love and faith can make us rich. The song is based on a true story about a very special coat that was made out of various scraps of material collected by her mother. In the song, she also talks about how proud she was of her coat and when she wore it to school, the kids made fun of her. May we remember that we are all rich in God’s love, regardless of the material things that we may have or receive this season. Let us wear our faith proudly and think on the ultimate gift that was given to us from our Heavenly Father, our Savior Jesus Christ. God is Good 😉
