Psalms 25:4-9
On many of the roadways in America, there are these things called rumble strips, also known as sleeper lines or audible lines. These strips are road safety features that alert drivers to potential danger by causing a tactile vibration and audible rumbling, transmitted through the wheels into the car interior. They are on the roadways to alert drivers when they drift from their lane, of a stop ahead or of a nearby danger spot. While rolling over one of these the other day, I got to thinking about the warnings or the wake up calls I get in my life that steer me or direct me away from bad decisions or wrong turns in my life. Some call it a gut instinct or a gut feeling. These are our personal rumble strips that God has designed in us. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit and through prayer, we can use these warnings to have a smoother ride and to avoid doing things that are not in God’s or our best interests. “Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” (Psalms 25:4-9 NIV) Trust God; trust your personal rumble strips and allow God to keep you straight on your path. God Loves Ya;)
