Matthew 20:28 ESV

As believers in Christ we are to practice random acts of kindness; to lift each other up, to support and help wherever and however we can. The church as a whole did not come into existence to be served, but to be a portal to serve others. Church is a place where people gather and pull together resources to find a solution to help people in need. A base camp you might say. A place where we try and help anyone that is in need by showing them the love of God and guiding them to find the answers and the help they desire. We as a church, as directed by the bible, are supposed to serve our fellow men. “You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love” (Galatians 5:13). Even our Lord was a servant to others. “Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:28) We should prepare, reenergize and get encouragement inside the base camp; but the real work is done when we go into the mission field: the world. So let us serve like we are supposed to. God loves Ya;)
