I was doing a little self examining this morning while waiting on my coffee to brew. First of all, I realized just how impatient I am and not in a good way. I don’t have an automatic full coffee maker. I have a one cup at a time Keurig coffee maker; which, by the way, takes mere seconds to brew your coffee! Wow! Now that’s impatient. Sadly, we live in a world full of instant gratification. The microwave oven, electric food choppers, electric can openers, even instant potatoes for pete’s sake! My personal lesson this morning after much thought is, I need to slow down. We all do in fact, especially at this time of year with all the frantic hustle and bustle of Christmas. Take time to enjoy the small blessings that God so graciously allows us. Go outside, breathe in the winter’s fresh crisp air, take a walk around your neighborhood, etc. Don’t take any of these moments for granted; appreciate what God has given us, because one day, they may be gone in an instant. Have a blessed day!
