Psalm 62:6

When my parents divorced, I was just getting ready to go away to college. At the same time, my mother was battling an illness that most people do not understand. My brother and I felt as though we were alone. I found it hard to be away at college while my brother was back at home in the midst of all the turmoil. Through that time, I attempted to be the strong one at all times so that I could be there for my brother. What a joy and relief it was when I accepted Christ in my life and realized that I didn’t have to be the strong one alone anymore!! He gave me the strength I needed to get through; on the days I felt all hope was lost, He was there to remind me that I was not alone and I always had a shoulder to lean on! One of my favorite songs says it perfectly, “In Christ alone my hope is found, He is my light my strength, my song; this cornerstone, this solid ground, firm through fiercest drought and storm.” No matter what you are going through, as long as you have hope in Him, he will be your rock and solid ground. God loves ya 😉 – Ashley
