Job 3:1-11, 13
Nothing tries our will and forces us to wrestle like the issue of suffering. When Job cries out in chapter 3 with these intense words, he gives us a model for wrestling with God in our suffering. Job shares his real emotions and he did not sin. Usually we respond in one of 2 ways to suffering; 1 is “If I start doing more, then God will bless me” or 2: Suffering is a part of the randomness of life, thus saying there is no God, or at least not a God who cares to allow such suffering. Both these approaches lead to spiritual dead ends. Suffering is the only thing that really shows us if we love God for God, and not for the blessings we might get from Him. Suffering always pulls our hearts to what is most important in them. We have to cry out to Christ in the good and bad. God Loves Ya 😉
